Dallas Animal Services

Creative Design & Content Strategy in Support of Animal Welfare

As a longtime volunteer and foster with Dallas Animal Services (DAS), I’ve had the privilege of contributing to one of the country’s largest municipal shelters—not only by walking dogs and bottle-feeding kittens, but by using my creative skills to support their life-saving mission through visual storytelling and design.

Multi-Channel Creative Support

In a volunteer capacity, I’ve produced a wide range of creative assets for DAS, tailored to both internal use and public-facing campaigns. My work spans:

  • Social media graphics and video content

  • Fundraising campaign assets and promotional content

  • Flyers for adoptions, events, and public programs

  • Photography of adoptable pets, events, and volunteer efforts

  • Kennel card flair and creative signage to help individual animals stand out

  • Event media including banners, posters, and giveaways

  • Volunteer recruitment and “Daycation” program materials to encourage engagement

  • Concept development for a beautification redesign of the shelter’s adoption rooms, aiming to improve the emotional experience for both visitors and animals

  • In addition to creative design, I’ve also served as a public ambassador for volunteering and fostering with DAS. I was honored to appear as a guest on NBC’s Texas Today segment, Pawsitively Good Awards, where I spoke about my experience fostering animals, supporting shelter operations, and encouraging community members to get involved.

All assets were designed with empathy and clarity, ensuring the messaging was effective, inclusive, and on-brand for a wide public audience.
